Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using https://ygorganization.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These terms apply to all visitors. The English version of these terms controls if any translation is provided.

2. Terms

You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations and are responsible for compliance with local laws where you access the Site. The materials on the Site are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

3. Accounts

Some features may require signing in through our authentication provider (“Passport” / OAuth). You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misuse the Site, or pose a security or legal risk.

4. User content (comments)

If you submit comments or other content, you grant YGOrganization a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Site. You represent that you have the rights to grant this license. Do not submit unlawful, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable content. We may moderate, remove, or refuse to display content at our discretion. We do not guarantee that any content will remain available or backed up.

5. Use license

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on YGOrganization’s website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not: modify or copy the materials; use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial); attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on YGOrganization’s website; remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or transfer the materials to another person or “mirror” the materials on any other server. This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by YGOrganization at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

6. Third-party services

The Site uses third-party services for hosting, authentication, analytics, advertising, and error reporting. Their collection and use of information is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Unofficial fan site

YGOrganization is an independent fan-operated site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Konami Digital Entertainment or any official Yu-Gi-Oh! rights holders. Yu-Gi-Oh! and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners.

8. Disclaimer

The materials on YGOrganization’s website are provided on an “as is” basis. YGOrganization makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. Further, YGOrganization does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its website or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.

9. Limitations

In no event shall YGOrganization or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on YGOrganization’s website, even if YGOrganization or a YGOrganization authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

10. Accuracy of materials

The materials appearing on YGOrganization’s website could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. YGOrganization does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete or current. YGOrganization may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice. However YGOrganization does not make any commitment to update the materials.

11. Links

YGOrganization has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by YGOrganization of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user’s own risk.

12. Modifications

YGOrganization may revise these terms of service for its website at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when we do. By continuing to use the Site after changes are posted, you agree to the then-current terms.

13. Governing law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Province of Ontario for any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the Site.

Privacy Policy

Who we are

YGOrganization operates the Site at https://ygorganization.com. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at contact@ygorganization.com.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the Site, we and our service providers may process:

  • Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser characteristics, general location derived from your IP or our CDN (e.g. city/region/country), pages viewed, and similar diagnostics. This includes data processed by Cloudflare when you access the Site.
  • Analytics: We use PostHog (United States) for product analytics, including page views, navigation events, and session heatmaps. We use Google Analytics 4 and a self-hosted Umami instance served from umami.ygorganization.com to measure traffic. When you are signed in, we may associate analytics events with your account identifier and profile fields (such as name and email) in PostHog (“identified” profiles only for signed-in users).
  • Advertising: Our ad partner Freestar and participating ad networks may use cookies, advertising identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, including a first-party “Common ID” style identifier to support ad delivery (including on Apple platforms). Google and other partners may also process data in connection with ads served on the Site.
  • Account and authentication: If you sign in, we process information from our OAuth provider (Passport) as needed to create and maintain your session, including session cookies and cached session data. We may enrich your profile with linked identity details returned by our identity backend.
  • Comments: If you submit a comment, we collect the information you provide (such as display name, email address, and comment text) and process it through our content API for moderation, display, and anti-abuse purposes.
  • Error monitoring: We use Sentry to capture errors and performance data. Sentry may receive stack traces, request context, console logs, and, for a sample of sessions, session replay data that can include interactions with the page. We configure Sentry to attach user identifiers and contact details when you are signed in, and we may include IP address and coarse geo derived from our CDN in error reports. Certain errors are also shared with PostHog via an integration between Sentry and PostHog.

Why we use personal information

We use this information to provide and secure the Site, authenticate users, display content and comments, measure and improve performance, monetize through advertising where enabled, troubleshoot issues, comply with law, and enforce our terms.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for sessions, preferences, analytics, and advertising. Google tags on the Site are loaded with Consent Mode defaults that deny ad and analytics storage until consent is updated (for example through an advertising consent tool). When ads are shown, a “Privacy Manager” control may be available in the footer to manage certain advertising-related choices.

Third-party services

We rely on processors including (with links to their privacy information):

Umami analytics are processed on infrastructure we control; the measurement script is served from umami.ygorganization.com. Umami’s open-source documentation describes typical data collected (such as page URLs, referrers, and coarse device data).

International transfers

We and our providers may process information in Canada, the United States, and other countries where they operate. Those jurisdictions may not provide the same legal framework as your home country.

Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Retention periods vary by system (for example, analytics, ads, error logs, and account records).

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, or to object to or port data. To exercise rights that apply to data we control, email contact@ygorganization.com. We may need to verify your request.

California (CCPA / CPRA): California residents may have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can learn more about interest-based ads from the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance. When available, use the Privacy Manager in the site footer for ad-related choices on this Site.

European Economic Area, UK, and similar jurisdictions: Where GDPR or comparable laws apply, we rely on appropriate legal bases such as contract, legitimate interests, and consent where required. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date when we do. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Advertising partners and industry programs

Third-party advertising companies may use information about your visits to this and other sites to provide relevant ads. For more information about this practice and to exercise choices, visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page and the Digital Advertising Alliance. Google’s description of how it uses data from partner sites and apps is available here.

Freestar

This Site is affiliated with Publisher First, Inc. dba Freestar for placing advertising. Freestar collects and uses data for advertising as described in its policy: https://freestar.com/privacy-policy/
