Chapter 7
Ages of Stars and Frost
TL note: Sharv Sarga’s Japanese name is yet another pun on “shinsekai” (新世界, New World), with the word for world (世界, sekai) having a different “kai” kanji (廻). This outdated kanji is mostly used for the word for reincarnation (輪廻, rinne), or to put it in a context closer to the theme, the word “samsara”. So one possible way to read the card’s name would be “new world reincarnation/samsara”. This helps explain what happens during chapter 6.
For the title of chapter 7, the Japanese name of the card Ages of Stars and Frost means “(the passage of) many months and years”, and it can also be tinkered with to get Visas Starfrost’s name. Before chapter 7 begins, we are told that an era has ended, and a new one begins. We are also told in chapter 6 that Veda has used this technique many times. This fits with the passage of many ages.
