Deck Build Pack Hidden Summoners” (on sale August 4th, 2018) includes the debut of the new series “Mayakashi” that makes use of Synchro and Link Summons.

Supporting the moves of the “Mayakashi”… … Is a Tuner that can appear from the GY countless times to Synchro Summon. And in the process, Synchro Monsters gather in your GY, lying in wait. Also, the theme’s Link Monster and their effects that Special Summon from the GY allow your Synchro Monsters to come forth like a haunted march of countless Yokai in the darkest depths of summer.

“Mayakashi” Synchro Monsters

They have effects to revive from the GY in response to their comrades being destroyed, as well as powerful effects that activate by being Special Summoned from the GY.

【★7】 It Revives From The GY If A Level 9 Synchro Monster Is Destroyed. When it Appears From The GY, It Can Destroy An Opponent’s Spell/Trap Without Targeting!!

▶ The Key Points of “Mayakashi” Synchro Monsters ◀
The Tuners described later are both Level 2 and have effects that allow them to revive from the GY countless times. In one turn you can consecutively Synchro Summon from Level 3 to 5 to 7 to 9 to 11, making it possible to assemble a powerful team that lay in wait in the GY.

You can only control 1 “Icicle Mayakashi – Yukionna”. While this card points to a Synchro Monster, your opponent’s monsters cannot target this card for attacks. If your Synchro Monster is destroyed by battle or an opponent’s card effect while this monster is on the field: You can target 1 face-up monster on the field; its ATK/DEF become half its current ATK/DEF until the end of this turn. You can only use this effect of “Icicle Mayakashi – Yukionna” once per turn.

Even if “Mayakashi” Synchro Monsters are destroyed, since you can revive the next Synchro Monster with their 2nd effect, its own second effect protects “Icicile Mayakashi – Yukionna” from being easily taken out.
