Strategic Summary:

Welcome back for another Creative Deck Profile, and this time we’re diving into the least focused of the new Legendary ARC-V Decks themes – the Odd-Eyes! The Odd-Eyes archetype consists of various Level 7 monsters of various Monster Card Types that are meant to either follow Pendulum Summoning and or enable Pendulum Summoning later in the turn. Take for example Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon, which is their Normal Monster Pendulum that also summons a free Odd-Eyes monster from hand/Deck/GY when an Odd-Eyes card you control is destroyed. This best synergizes with their Field Spell, Sky Iris, which searches any Odd-Eyes card by destroying another card you control, but there are other hidden synergies as well. However, all of these capabilities come together in the newest Odd-Eyes monster – Odd-Eyes Override Dragon – a LINK-3 with all downwards-pointing Link Arrows that allows you to Pendulum Summon a second time during your turn. This can swing duels in your favor, not only serving as a great follow-up after an initial Pendulum Summon facilitated by Beyond the Pendulum, but also as a better monster for your Extra Monster Zone than just Exceed the Pendulum, although that LINK-3 is still essential to the deck as well!

The other card making its TCG-debut in the set is Odd-Eyes Solblaze Dragon, a Level 8 Synchro Tuner that Special Summons a face-up Pendulum from your Extra Deck when Special Summoned. In particular, this is great for summoning a Level 4 DARK Pendulum monster, allowing you to Synchro Summon Supreme King Z-ARC – Synchro Universe, exchange that for Odd-Eyes Arcray Dragon, which then grants you any Pendulum Monster of your choice directly to your Pendulum Zone. With such consistent access to Arcray, the potential of this deck skyrockets, giving you access to a wide variety of generic and on-theme boss monsters to round out your board. For example, if you need negates, turn to Arms of Genex Return Zero or Void Ogre Dragon, each of which can be Synchro Summoned using Performapal Odd-Eyes Synchron summoning its non-Tuner from your Pendulum Zone. If you need recovery, Symphonic Warrior Rockks can add any face-up Pendulum back to hand. If you don’t like your Synchro options, get two Level 7 monsters onto the field to Xyz Summon Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon, allowing you to Special Summon Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon out of the deck for another big bad for your opponent to overcome. All of these options and more are ready to swing the duel in your favor, if you choose to play with the new Odd-Eyes cards from the Legendary ARC-V Decks!
