Welcome back for another Creative Deck Profile, and this time I’m revisiting the new Darklord support that recently made its debut in the TCG. Since then, they have received two additional cards that play well for the theme: first up is Fallen Angel in Darkness (YGOrg Translation), a Normal Trap that’s always treated as a Darklord card that can Special Summon any Darklord from hand/Deck/banishment, ignoring its summoning conditions. This is a key addition for the deck in allowing you to recycle Darklord Morningstar for multiple field wipes with The First Darklord. Then, the theme also indirectly received Lahamu the Messenger of Sacred Scripture (YGOrg Translation), a LINK-2 monster that enables a Normal Summon of a level 5 or higher DARK monster during either Main Phase, plus a one-time-only benefit of Normal Summoning without tributes!

While today’s build has those benefits to get drawn Darklords out of your hand and into having an impact on the duel, the bigger new addition is an entire Solfachord package, designed to enable Pendulum Summoning. The Solfachord engine has been quite versatile, featured in K9, Yummy, Melodious, and many other decks, since it just spams Fairy material onto the board quite well. This is really due to Solfachord Happiness being a great one-card starter, that also happens to naturally be recycled by the cards it searches, allowing for multiple Pendulum Summons and oodles of Fairy monsters to use as Material. This is in addition to the free tokens you’ll be able to reliably summon whenever you Pendulum Summon Darklord Gulgolet from the hand. The last big change is the inclusion of a bunch of additional Herald monsters, with both Herald of the Green Light and Herald of the Orange Light disrupting your opponents’ plays while also offering insulation for your own. They also work well with Gulgolet, since it will still search you a Forbidden Spell if sent to the GY to activate a Herald effect! Unite the Fairies in their Solemn undertaking!
